  • Hottest Chili In The World

    For the 7th year in a row, Sigma Theta Phi wins Hottest Chili at HPU Fest!



    A special thanks goes out the Sigma Theta Phi Alumni, Cory McManness and Josh Cunningham. This year's Chili Scoville scale was estimated to be above 10 million! Not even Charlie Sheen could win against this stuff.

  • Loss Of A Brother

    Today Sigma Theta Phi mourns the loss of a beloved brother, Colton Burran. We were blessed to have called you a brother and to have had you in our presence - you will be dearly missed. You gave us many wonderful memories and enriched everyone's life that you came into contact with. Tomorrow we will rejoice in the life that you lived and His Kingdom that you now resided in. We will meet again, brother.

    Please keep the Burran family in your prayers as they go through this difficult time.


    Colton Burran's funeral will be in Brownfield at 11pm this Thursday, April 7th. Coggin will be taking vans for students who want to go. Please contact Christian Nance if you would like a ride so they know how many they will need to take. We will need to leave by 6:00AM Thursday morning. (325) 647-0483.

    A memorial service will also be help at Coggin Ave Baptist Church, in the gym, in Brownwood. The service will begin at 10:30pm. This will be a great time to come together to worship our Lord, pray for on another and remember Colton.

    Join Sigma Theta Phi tonight at Academy Lanes!

    Come join Sigma Theta Phi, from 9PM to 11PM Tuesday night, to kick off the new school year with free bowling for anyone who wants to come! There will be bowling, coke floats, and pool. Come socialize and meet new people. This is a great opportunity for freshmen to get to know upperclassmen and vice versa!

    Sigma Theta Phi has a new look!

    Sigma Theta Phi's web site has finally been updated! The new layout may be the most obvious, but there's content as well! 

    Sigma Phi's web site has never been renowned for its publicly available content, but that is soon to change with the new content management system! This new system means I, Philip Whitt (Historian 2008-2010), can finally pass the torch for updating the web site to the new Executive members. With the new content management system, the Executive members for 2010-2011 can easily update the public content without having to know a bit of HTML, javascript, CSS, etc etc....

    Check back here on a regular basis for more news on Sigma Theta Phi. More articles will be posted throughout the summer about our past activities and once the fall rolls around, HPU will be back in-session and the site should be updated regularly. 

    Alumni, log in and update your information! Also, we are trying to get a Sigma Phi/Phi Chi reunion going, so join the discussion on the discussion board! If you cant figure out your password, have it sent to your e-mail account. If you still cant log in, or dont remember the email you used, find me on facebook and I'll help you out.
